The new galactic map definitely looks flashy. But in terms of actual navigation it feels clunky compared to the flat map. And the map has low frame rate for some reason. I preferred the old map
Hey! Thank you for a feedback, we will probably add an option to disable some heavy rendering stuff, so you can control the galactic map perfomance yourself. Meanwhile try disabling all planets if you have them on – that helps a lot with frame rate.
